David Freeman began repairing instruments in 1978 and building them in 1980. He has been playing the guitar and the piano for almost thirty years. He has a background in furniture refurnishing and restoration, woodcarving, sculpture and pottery. He studied at the School of Guitar Repair and Design in Vermont before returning to Saskatchewan in 1980 to start Timeless Instruments.

Tugaske, Saskatchewan is a town in rural Saskatchewan. It has a population of approximately 200 people. It a farming community located in the heart of the Canadian Prairies. The nearest airports, Regina and Saskatoon, are approximately a two hour drive.
