The two boards of this back are mismatched, though similar. They can be joined to make the back, or one board could be used by adding wings. There is one crack, marked in photo, that avoids a half-mandolin pattern. 3.5" wide sides will accomodate a mandolin or a sopranro or concert ukelele.
Colour is light to medium reddish brown with alternating ribbons of light and dark. Chetoyance gives this set a copper look.

Bhilwara is also known as Black siris, albizia, Ceylon rosewood. Its scientific name is Albizia odoratissima. It is native to central and southern Asia.
