Our YouTube Channel has a collection of videos about Timeless Instruments. You can learn about the school, or the guitars we have made, and even hear them being played. There is also a very good video defining sound qualities to help you define what an instrument sounds like.
The latest design by David Freman has evolved over the past years. By expanding the depth of the body on the bass side (right), the guitar has volume that compliments the bass frequencies. This also contracts the treble side to compliment the treble soundwaves. The wedge creates more seperation, balancing out the bass, mid, and treble responses. Each Instrument also features an armrest bent into the soundboard (left) to accomodate the wider bass side. You don't notice the width! They are comfortable to play and they sound excellent. Over the next weeks you will get to see and hear more about this innovation, but for now you can check out more pictures and features at our Soundwedge Page
Cross Over Custom GM-03
This is a CROSS-OVER GM-03 for Classic S strings. When I design I begin determining the String to be used, as well as the player's Style. The classic S strings have a fine woven core wrapped in Nylon . The tension is similar to regular nylon strings.
This 5 piece laminated integral neck is built of mahogany, maple & ebony.
Head veneer of Holly & Zircote, with a beveled border. Back & sides are Aged Cocabola from the 1990's stock.. Top is Master grade Yellow cedar or Canadian cypress.
The sound goal was for a finger picker style that wanted a richer bass response with fast attack and good atriculation to the full range of the 24 fret fingerboard. Th eowner has been experimenting with different strings since he received it !
