Rope binding in holly and rosewood. on a Cucumber Magnolia back & sides. This DVK body shape was first designed for a 9 year old and an already shaped Rosewood back from Frank Gay's stock. I succesfully built afew guitars with it, it is in the parlour catagory as it is only 18" long. Then one day i discovered a resonator cone would fit perfectly into it and allow a 14th fret join even with a cutaway. Excellent ! So I built this model for David Essig. Rope binding just looks good on a resonator !
