Archtop Mandolin and Violin Tops

All Soundboards are 2 piece and bookmatched unless stated otherwise. One piece tops are rare. Much of this wood has been aged 20 years or more. Timeless has Sitka . Englemann, White Pine, and Douglas Fir Arch tops for mandolins which could also be used for the smaller Violin size. If you don't see it  Inquire . We are cataloging new sets Now.

Englemann spr. arch top Mandolin
the treble side is the offcut edge so varies from 3/4" to 1/2" on the centre line This presents a challenge to the carver to Maximize the curve or even customize it one side to the other  This will be on the inside . check out all the pictures

 these are AAA grade . 16" to 18" long . cut in the early 2000.s they are dry and aged. 5.5" to 6" wide  tapered from 3/4" to 1/4"  bookmatched. Good British Columbia Englemann Spruce wood.
